Alpine Editorial
A winter magazine you happen to plan a trip in.
Reads like a premium European ski annual: high-contrast serif headlines, warm paper surfaces, full-bleed photography with captions and credits. Every screen is laid out as a numbered feature, so the trip feels anticipated rather than administered. Calm, confident and grown-up, with a single rust accent for the things that need you.

Typography
Fraunces carries the voice — at large optical sizes it’s a high-contrast magazine display face; at small sizes it softens for readable decks and numerals. Jost, a Futura-descended sans, does the quiet work: labels, kickers and body copy, echoing vintage Alpine resort posters.

Colour
Warm paper and deep alpine ink do almost everything. Rust is reserved for what needs you — and for numerals, which is where the eye should land. No gradients outside photo scrims.

Iconography
A hairline set drawn for this direction — 1.35px strokes on a 24px grid, like engravings in a guidebook margin. Icons always travel with a word.

Photography

- Full-bleed covers at 21:9 on desktop, 4:5 on phones — type sits on a soft ink scrim only where it needs to.
- Captions in italic serif; credits in small caps, always.
- No filters or duotones. The mountains are the colour.
- Crops: 4:5 portrait features, 3:2 editorial, 1:1 thumbnails.
Buttons
Square corners, letterspaced caps, an arrow that leans in on hover. Rust fill is rare — one per screen at most.
